{"id":4887,"date":"2016-05-04T17:05:34","date_gmt":"2016-05-04T15:05:34","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.german-doctors.de\/blog\/?p=4887"},"modified":"2019-12-19T10:21:02","modified_gmt":"2019-12-19T09:21:02","slug":"patientengeschichte-kalkutta","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.german-doctors.de\/blog\/2016\/05\/04\/patientengeschichte-kalkutta\/","title":{"rendered":"Ein Lichtblick f\u00fcr Asif"},"content":{"rendered":"<h1><span class=\"spGb-e spGb-h\">Operation an der Halswirbels\u00e4ule<\/span><\/h1>\n<h3>Eine Patientengeschichte aus den Slums von Kalkutta; aufgeschrieben von unserem Langzeitarzt vor Ort<\/h3>\n<p>Ich bin Asif aus <a href=\"https:\/\/www.german-doctors.de\/de\/projekte-entdecken\/kalkutta.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Kalkutta<\/a> &#8211; und ich bin heute seit l\u00e4ngerem einmal wieder bei den <a href=\"https:\/\/www.german-doctors.de\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">German Doctors<\/a> gewesen. Sie haben mir vor einigen Monaten einmal einen gro\u00dfen Dienst erwiesen: Ich war querschnittsgel\u00e4hmt, weil ich ein Problem mit meiner Halswirbels\u00e4ule habe. Ich konnte nur noch liegen und weder die Arme noch die Beine nennenswert bewegen. Ich konnte noch nicht einmal die Hand aus eigener Kraft zum Mund f\u00fchren, um zu essen. Ich konnte auch meinen Stuhl und meinen Urin nicht mehr kontrollieren. Das alles hatte sich langsam \u00fcber Jahre hinweg entwickelt, und es gab niemanden, der mir helfen konnte, denn wir haben kein Geld.<\/p>\n<p>Die <a href=\"https:\/\/www.german-doctors.de\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">German Doctors<\/a> haben mir eine Operation <span class=\"spGb-e spGb-h\">an der Halswirbels\u00e4ule <\/span>erm\u00f6glicht, und seitdem geht es langsam aber sicher aufw\u00e4rts mit mir. Zwar sitze ich im Rollstuhl, aber das ist f\u00fcr mich schon ein gro\u00dfer Fortschritt. Denn nicht einmal das war mir vor der Operation noch m\u00f6glich, so kraftlos war mein K\u00f6rper. Vor allem kann ich inzwischen die Arme wieder ganz gut bewegen. Ich kann wieder selber essen. Wer das nicht selber erlebt hat, wie es ist, als 17-j\u00e4hriger wegen seiner L\u00e4hmungen st\u00e4ndig gef\u00fcttert werden zu m\u00fcssen, kann nicht ermessen, was dieser Fortschritt f\u00fcr mich bedeutet. Und dass ich jetzt, wie auf dem Foto zu sehen ist, wieder eine Flasche Wasser bis ganz in die H\u00f6he heben kann, h\u00e4tte ich vor einem halben Jahr noch nicht geglaubt. Meine Beine sind noch schwach, aber da gibt es einen ganz langsamen Trend zur Verbesserung. Ich kann auch den Urin inzwischen besser kontrollieren.<\/p>\n<p>Insgesamt war die Zeit im Krankenhaus f\u00fcr mich sehr schwierig und aufregend. Genau gesagt musste sogar noch eine zweite O<span class=\"spGb-e spGb-h\">peration an der Halswirbels\u00e4ule<\/span> durchgef\u00fchrt werden. Liebe Leute in Deutschland haben mir diese Operationen erm\u00f6glicht.
